Janina Konia

Janina Konia (Ngāi Tahu, Ngā Puhi) is a Mana Whenua Education Facilitator with Mātauraka Mahaanui. Mātauraka Mahaanui guides education renewal and represents collective 'mana whenua' – Papatipu Rūnanga and Ngāi Tahu interests. She supports learning communities to grow their focus on building authentic engagement and sustainable relations with iwi, hapū and whānau, accelerating Māori language provision and enhancing Māori learner wellbeing and achievement across Waitaha. Janina has diverse experience in education both domestically and internationally. She is involved in the Grow Waitaha programmes which is engaged with 150 schools across Waitaha.
